Friday, the 27th of August 2021 : Visit of Laurent Wauquiez, President of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region, Christiane Mosnier and Michel Chapuis, respectively mayors of Espaly Saint Marcel and Le Puy-en-Velay.
This meeting was an opportunity to exchange about investment in innovative projects.
Innovation is part of our company's genes; it allows us to stand out and remain competitive.
We are currently working on an innovative garter project in collaboration with several players in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.
In terms of investment, the company plans on investing 600 000 € to purchase production equipments within 2 years.
These projects are supported by the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region, which aims at accompanying companies that focus on innovation and create jobs in France. Laurent Wauquiez affirms that "We don't want textiles made in China". In order to achieve this, "it is essential to think out of the box, to take risks and create new products with real added value" (Rolland Arnaud, CEO of Fontanille Scop).
In 2020, thanks to the various challenges taken up, eight jobs were created within the Scop. In the long term, between five and ten additional jobs could be created.
